My question is, do they expect us to actually implement these tactics or just to learn from them? Because I'm really tempted to try this out for myself, but a part of me is like, should I even be doing this?

As an enthusiast in cybersecurity, I was eager to understand the mindset behind these unconventional tactics. The guide offers a fascinating narrative on the balance between ethical and unethical applications in social engineering, which isn't commonly addressed anywhere else. It provocative questions about morality in use and explores how even small changes in approach can alter outcomes, making it a compelling resource for ethical hackers. Overall, I was intrigued by the thought-provoking discussions on the implications of using these tactics for good, rather than exploitation. While the guide is thorough in detailing refund strategies, I hope future updates can spotlight these ethical dimensions further. Perfect for anyone intrigued by both the technical and human elements of cybersecurity.

I picked this up mainly because I'm interested in the psychology aspect. It's wild how easily some of these tactics work, like the stuff about building rapport. The guide does a decent job explaining the methods, but I'm curious about the long-term consequences. Like, what happens when companies catch on? Do they just tighten their policies, making it harder for everyone? And what about the ethical implications for businesses – are they investing enough in training their staff to spot these kinds of manipulations? It would be cool if the next edition explored those angles a bit more. Still, a worthwhile read for sure.
