Even though the phone is still in Beta, this is not to say that it lacks features and security. You see, our goal is to create extreme privacy solutions that are accident-proof under any circumstance. We stripped down this Pixel phone to the basics in terms of Google-created hardware and software.

While designing this device, we kept in mind one thing – we will not sacrifice privacy for the sake of convenience or entertainment. The number one goal is to hand you a device that works out of the box so that you can be assured that the settings and configurations are at their maximum capabilities.

Now we understand the need for social applications and internet browsing in this day and age, even to perform work tasks. So, we made sure to keep this phone compatible with APK applications even though the OS itself is not Android.

This would allow you to tap into an ecosystem of applications that already exist in the commercial and open-source market. We have pre-installed the Aurora store to allow you to download your favorite apps from the Google Play Store without having a Google account – anonymously. As well as App Repos (F-droid) so that you may access hundreds of open-source and privacy-conscious applications that are usually hard to find otherwise.

Some applications may require Google Play Services, which is Google’s way of forcing their code into every developer’s app build. But we have done a workaround for this by creating a hardened sandbox for any app that requires it. In short, it is compartmentalized from the rest of the device and data.

Now you may be wondering, how to buy phone service without compromising your identity. It’s quite simple.
